From the brewery:
"
Last year Angelo brewed his take on a modern beer, showcasing modern hops and brewing techniques. This beer is a retrospective focus on his early days of craft beer and what inspired him as a brewer. With nearly 100 IBUs It’s unapologetically bitter, reminiscent of the styles coming out of California then, San Diego in particular. It was brewed using Pale malt and a small amount of Munich malt as a base, Columbus hops as the first wort (bittering) addition, Chinook & Centennial in the Whirlpool and then dry hopped exclusively with Centennial. Expect a medley of fruit salad backed with pine and a crisp bitterness balanced by the malt and higher ABV."
